Backing up data
Although iOfficeV4 itself does not provide a data backup function, you can back up your data by use of the data backup function of your OS or any commercial data backup Software.
We strongly recommend that you make backups without fail at fixed intervals, if possible daily or weekly etc.
You need to back up two directories, data and file.
In, Windows Operating System,
If iOfficeV4 is installed in the directory "C:\InetPub\scripts\dnet", the data backup directories are "C:\InetPub\scripts\dnet\data" and "C:\InetPub\scripts\dnet\file".
In, UNIX/Linux Operating Systems,
If iOfficeV4 is installed in "/usr/local/www/cgi-bin/dnet", the data backup directories are "/usr/local/www/cgi-bin/dnet/data" and "/usr/local/www/cgi-bin/dnet/file".
When doing backups, backup all the files and directories that are under these directories.
Note:
If you only backup some of the files or directories, there is a risk that, on restoration, normal operation will not be achieved.
