Installing
Use this procedure to install iOfficeV4 in Windows Operating System.
This explanation assumes that the web server is using Internet Information Server/Services (IIS).
Set up Microsoft Windows OS, if it is not installed yet.
It is assumed that a LAN is constructed.
To use iOfficeV4, a web server is necessary. If a web server is not installed, install it beforehand.
iOfficeV4 may now be installed.
In Windows NT, 2000, and XP, you have to Login as administrator to run setup program. Login as Administrator.
Run the downloaded file on the web server to start the installation, and follow the guidance of the setup program.
On installation, the following items need to be set:
Company name: Your company name (or department name)
Home directory: A home directory of the web server that is being used. e.g. c:\inetpub\wwwroot
Target directory for installation: A location of installation of iOfficeV4. e.g. c:\inetpub\scripts\dnet
After finishing the installation, make sure:
The directory, dnet exists in c:\inetpub\scripts.
The directory, neoimage-en in c:\inetpub\wwwroot.
Start up a browser and enter a URL as follows:
http://(IP address of server or server name)/scripts/dnet/dnet.exe?
Note: If the browser is set to "disable cookies", iOfficeV4 will not operate normally. Please check that either "accept all" or "display warning (dialogue) before accepting" is set.
When you start iOfficeV4, the Login screen appears. Since we do not set a password to any users, you can simply choose a user and click Login button to Login to iOfficeV4.
