Use this procedure to install iOffice2000 Security Patch.

Before installing the secutity patch, backup all the directories and
files in "ioffice" directory.

Installation guide for Windows OS
**********************************************************************

This explanation assumes that the web server is using Internet
Information Server/Services (IIS) and iOffice2000 is installed in
c:\Inetpub\scripts\ioffice.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. To install Security Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------

1) In Windows NT, 2000, and XP, you have to Login as administrator to
   install the patch. Login as Administrator.

2) Copy the downloaded file to a temporary folder and extract the file.

3) Copy all the exstracted files to c:\Inetpub\scripts\ioffice in order
   to overwrite existing files.

4) Restart OS.

Installation guide for Linux OS

This explanation assumes that the web server is using Apache Server
and iOffice2000 is installed in /var/www/cg-bin/ioffice.

1. To install Security Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Copy the downloaded file to a temporary directory.
   You can use any FTP software to copy the file.

2) Start telnet tool and connect the server. 

3) Once the telnet connection established, switch to the root user. 

   >su
   >Passwd:*****

   Enter a password for the root user.

4) Move the downloaded tar.gz file to a parent directory of a
   directory which iOffice2000 installed.

   >cd /var/www/cg-bin
   >mv /home/guest/iocpatch240lR6us.tar.gz .

5) Expand the file using tar command.

   >tar -zxvf iocpatch240lR6us.tar.gz

6) Change the owner and group of the directories to the user who
   provides HTTP service.

   >chown -R owner:group ioffice

   The default owner and group in each OS are as follows.

7) Restart OS.

Installation guide for Soralis OS
**********************************************************************

The following procedure is assuming that iOffice2000 is installed in
/var/apache/cg-bin/ioffice.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. To install Security Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Copy the downloaded file to a temporary directory.
   You can use any FTP software to copy the file.

2) Start telnet tool and connect the server. 

3) Once the telnet connection established, switch to the root user. 

   >su
   >Passwd:*****

   Enter a password for the root user.

4) Move the downloaded tar.Z file to a parent directory of a
   directory which iOffice2000 installed.

5) Un-compress the file using uncompress command.

   >uncompress iocpatch240s5us.tar.Z

6) Expand the file using tar command.

   >tar xvf iocpatch240s5us.tar

7) Change the owner and group of the directories to the user who
   provides HTTP service.

   >chown -R owner:group ioffice

8) Restart OS.
